BABY'S first paperback rebind 🫣
PSA this was my first go at adding a hardcover to an old paperback book, so I picked something simple to try and test my materials on.
It's extremely badly done lmao and I need better calibration on my printer BUT I now know what types of paper work and how to improve next time.
Working on a way to create shiny covers. Considering lamination and varnishes.
Designed the cover myself etc.
The original paperback cover -> my hardback rebind.
Bonus: this is an excellent read. It's horror but, like, hopeful horror. Lol.
One rebind to rule them all
I wanted to do some practice of multi-volume books ready for some future fanfic binds, and had only one choice really...
I think they turned out pretty nice! The two tone cover and matching endbands worked with the gold foiling and black edge painting, and the mock-quarterbind method I tried on the kids' notebooks worked well too
We shall not discuss how long it took to find a suitable graphic and the correct fonts for the cover and cirith runes
Next up is the display box for it, to practice individual comparmented boxes.
To the mutual that I've promised a bound fic to, don't worry - your things are up after that!
