This took like, 20 hours?  I am passionately furious with myself for the stupid alignment errors in the way the left border panels meet up--almost as furious as I am with my arch nemesis, Worst Scanner Ever.  I corrected as much as I could, sorry for the weird rippling and color distortions :/  But mostly I do like these!  Like, not for the outcome, but because I finally pulled out some ideas I’ve been wanting to try out for a while, and the result was just passably mediocre enough that I want to try again.  And I like the color contrast in the bottom border section.

Last drawing of 2017, first post of 2018… I grew up watching Dragon Ball and remember spending long afternoons drawing its characters and learning from it, all of them but one… so here is her fifteen years later and thanks to the character design challenge theme of this month: my paper cut Bulma. I have always loved how she services the story in motion when looking for the dragon balls for the first time.

I’ve signed up for a craft fair at work in about (less than...) a month, and of course I have nothing ready.  But I’m planning to crank out as many of these paper-cuts as I can.  This set is shamelessly ripped off from one of my previous designs, because the designing part is the most time consuming.

More stuff for the coming craft fair.  Meant to be Christmas ornaments; papercut glued to tissue paper, so that light can shine through.  I haven’t cut the bottom set out from the tissue paper backing though, because I’m hoping if I give it a good hour to dry then it will come cleaner than the first set did.
