BEA / funreading comics! she doesnât own many because there just arenât that many around anymore (and even in modern verse, she doesnât have the money to buy them), but sheâs got five or six in her bag that sheâs always happy to reread. she also genuinely enjoys exploring places, digging through the things left behind by looters in peopleâs houses, and figuring out how things work â there are a lot of things sheâs never seen before, because she was born after the world ended, and sheâs fascinated by them. she also likes climbing things, like trees and high walls (if someone in modern verse can take her to one of those indoor climbing wall places sheâll be in heaven).
GEORGIE / cursingswears like a bloody sailor soldier, she does. she doesnât swear all the time, and she definitely swears more around other soldiers, because half of them canât say a single sentence without two fucks in it, but she curses, particularly if sheâs pissed off (either at herself, other people, or the shitty situation sheâs ended up in again). sheâs also that person who accidentally swears near a child, and then swears because they swore when they werenât supposed to.
DONNY / dreamsdreams? you mean the terrible nightmares that come when he finally passes out after a week of not sleeping, leaving him screaming and sobbing and in such a mess that he canât think clearly? the ones that always involve michaelâs death and never-ending bombardment, filled with gore and fear and guilt? the ones that leave him shaking and jumpy, wishing for the war despite it being the thing that tortures him, because at least things made sense there, at least he wasnât alone? the ones that keep him from ever wanting to sleep again?
