Days 61 - 67 Saturday - Thursday

Some of the things that come out of peoples mouths in this class are wonderful. In tutes we do short exercises such as writing the opening lines of a press release, or in today's case - the opening to a pro gay marriage speech.

The short time limit gets us to think on our feet and produces some interesting results.... aaand talking about short time limits, the next week is set to be a killer! Who is this person that organises all assignments to be due the same date?

I have till next Friday to finish a press release, position statement, direct mail analysis, two blog posts on a class I dont understand and complete my part of a half hour presentation for Tuesday. I hope I'm not forgetting anything!

All hands on deck here on the Gold Coast!

Might have to be more productive this weekend than last. On Saturday, we all got together for an early 7:30 breakfast. Pancakes, muffins, eggs and booze. There is no better way to start the day. Then out to see some Olympians swim some laps at the pan pacs! We may as well have been in the pool, for while Phelps, Lochte & Missy Franklin did there thaang, we sat in torrential rain. Apparently who ever designed the new Gold Coast commonwealth pool didn't consider that it might rain. Ever. 

So facepaint dripping, and my Australian pride hurt by many heat defeats to the US. (I being the only person in our group to adopt my new citizen ship) we made a run for the tram home. A literal run. 

It was still a good morning out but lazying on the sofa and watching movies the rest of the day with everyone else was a welcome end to the day.
