Here We Go (January 11, 1:10 AM US Mountain Time)
Damn, here we go again.

I have many thoughts, so I’m going to voice them because this is getting tiring.
For starters, this is the exact reason why public projects in South Korea shouldn’t be done if KMBBs advise that it’s not the best idea.
They live there. They understand the culture. They know whether a plan is going to succeed or fail.
More KMBBs warned against the project than supported it, but the creators didn’t listen. The donors didn’t listen. Their supporters tried - and ultimately succeed - in silencing KMBBs warnings and concerns.
Now, we’re all paying for it.
At the same time, I don’t agree with what these commentators are saying, either. I don’t believe international fans are “roaches” and I’m not saying that because I am an international fan, but rather because I understand we do things differently because our environments vary. Majority of international fans are very sweet and good people and I think we get a bad rep because of a small portion of the fandom who are immature and ignorant.
So to that specific portion of people who think they’re wiser than thou: If fans within the country you’re planning a project in tell you not to follow through with it - listen to them.
The only person in those comments I agree with is the person who wrote number 5. The general public had forgotten about what happened and this entire project is probably going to trigger the searches again; the very searches that have taken an extremely long time to clear.
In addition, I knew we were going to receive backlash, and I’m not necessarily freaking out over it, but rather just angry.
Why Maria and her sister and her supporters just couldn’t listen to the majority that told her not to follow through with this project is just...
It’s not that difficult to be a practical person. It’s really not. It’s actually quite easy.
I’m on twitter right now and a lot of people are saying they didn’t expect the project to be like that and wouldn’t have supported it if they knew what it all was going to display, and it’s okay to make mistakes, but please do research before joining in various projects. It really only takes one dive down their twitter profile to find all of the problematic things they are connected to and have done.

Please don’t support boycotters. Please don’t support problematic stans. Please be aware of antis - whether they’re hiding their true intentions or not. Please do not allow yourselves to be manipulated.
-
I understand that the project seemed “friendly” in theory, but the people who created it are connected to boycotters and just...questionable stans. If these people create new projects in the future, do not support them. Even if their intentions for this project were meant well, the results are chaotic and they showed an overall disinterest in what Monbebes had to say and felt.

In the meantime, do NOT search ANYTHING on this particular project ANYWHERE.
You have the information from this post and you can also DM or ask me questions about everything if necessary, so there’s no need to look this project up and cause it to gain attention.
In addition, please start clearing the searches now and do NOT draw any attention to the project creators on Twitter (e.g. send hate, callout, etc) . I don’t really think it matters on here because this is tumblr, but word spreads too quickly on the bird app and the last thing we need is for this catastrophe to trend or gain attention from news agencies/people that dislike us.
