Darcy had heard that recruitment was the order of the day: Old and New alike were working hard to get people onside. Generally, she tried to keep out of these things, stick to her job, but she wanted to help their cause - after all, Old Olympus had given her so much. A job she enjoyed, people she trusted, a sense of belonging that she had lacked through her childhood. So she had found an undecided person, one she thought might need helping. After all, there was little reason involving people who didn’t need them.
She’d asked Pandora (odd nickname for a man, she had thought, but she wasn’t one to talk about gender roles) to meet her in a local park. Normally it was quite busy, but it was raining drivingly today, so it was near empty. Not empty enough that either should feel uncomfortable or nervous, but enough that people wouldn’t listen to their conversation.
Sat on a park bench, umbrella in hand, she watched as the man approached her. He was very pretty, and she could see why he was in the job he was in. Didn’t stop her feeling sorry for him, though. When he sat down next to her, she smiled at the young man. “Pandora,” she greeted gently, raising her eyes to him. “Thank you for agreeing to see me.”
