Palatka, City of Murals - April 2021 Palatka, Florida, advertises itself as a “City of Murals,” and there are many murals on the sides of buildings as you drive up and down St. John’s Avenue. Some of the murals are so big you can’t get a decent image. Some are obscured by parked cars or whatever. These images are some of the ones I could capture and I liked. If you look closely at the third image, you will see that the artist incorporated the door to the upstairs apartment in the building as part of the mural. Even looking at the mural in real time, it was difficult to tell that the door wasn’t painted as part of the mural. The spelling of the town on the sign in the first image is not a mistake. Way back in 1774 the town was spelled Pilatka. MWM

An absolute belter of bands of the fastcore and powerviolence variety! Spazz, Despise You and Charles Bronson being some of my favourites.
