I used to say,

so many times

I told you, I loved you --

do you remember the time

the time I told you that

every time I told you I loved you

every time I said,

"Chi hullo li"

it was said with thought.

  My totem ushered you into

her sanctuary, invited you

into our holy ground,

you sat in front of my ancestors

that showed me our souls.

  I will pray and ask them

that even with your disrespect

for their tongue and for their

sanctuary and daughter

you have not angered them.

  Ask them to show you kindness.

Request that by the end of

these writings they are satisfied

with my peace offering

and only remove the

names I had given

and the words I had whispered.
