Good to finally have my hands on the recently published book by Pakistan Cables, A Reel On Karachi, on the public art project 'Reel On Hai' which was a part of the 1st Karachi Biennale. The idea was to invite artists to transform cable reels to produce works of art & place them at prominent public places around Karachi. Pakistan Cables was the major sponsor of the project & it was kicked off in July 2016. I painted the 1st cable reel of this project & the reel was painted on site, at Orangi Pilot Project in Orangi Town.
