Pierre-Joseph Buc'hoz Le Jardin d'Eden [with similar works], Paris, 1779-83
Pierre-Joseph Buc'hoz (1731–1807) was a physician, artist, and naturalist from Lorraine. Many of his "very fine decorative plates" (Dunthorne) are etched after Chinese drawings of native plants and flowers, with pale blue skies and rocky backgrounds, and, frequently, with birds, butterflies, insects, or animals introduced to the compositions. Buc'hoz was the first European to copy the Chinese style in this way, and several of the plates are captioned in Chinese.
Solstice by Brian Bennett
“This was music to complement or invoke visual imagery and I had this idea of the Earth in space, it was around the time of ‘Star Wars’ so this space fantasy thing was very much in vogue. I was also listening to a lot of Brian Eno and I wanted to see if I could write some material along those lines."
- Brian Bennett, 1978

My cousin asked me if I could draw her dog, Ody, like a Soviet Space Dog poster (not sure why, but hey). It was a fun project.
