IT’S   A   REMINDER   THAT   HE   HADN’T   BEEN   THERE.   she   doesn’t   want   to   blame   him.   would   she   had   run   away?   maybe.   she   did   freaked   out   over   nothing   thinking   her   parents   would   be   angry   if   she   showed   up   drunk.   in   her   mind,   there   is   no   doubt   that   she   is   at   fault   for   the   whole   school   fight.   for   them   being   apart   that   day.   her   actions   that   day,   created   a   ripple   effect   that   caused   her   pain.   but   he   is   seeing   the   scars   now,   unable   to   hide   them   when   training   with   short   sleeves,   they   are   there,   to   show   she   survived.   but   there   is   damage.   his   fingers   trace   them   and   she   shivers   at   the   touch,   eyes   looking   down   and   then,   back   to   his   green   ones,   finding   comfort   there.   “it   looks   worse   than   it   was.   they   are   all   healed   now.”

“Is   there   something   you   want   to   tell   me,   son?”   because   robby   has   a   tendency   to   close   off.   it’s   her   fault,   she   is   aware   that   while   on   alcohol   and   pills,   she   often   failed   to   give   him   attention.   but   that   is   changing   now,   and   she   is   worried.   the   hours   of   training   and   how   much   he   had   changed   in   the   past   year   since   he   was   released   from   juvie.   “about   girls?   boys?   training?   i   know   john   kreese   is   behind   bars.   .   .will   you   still   train   at   cobra   kai?”

 a   hand   on   robby’s   shoulder   guide   him   further   into   the   dojo,   he   hasn’t   lied   when   he   said   he   would   bring   back   the   old   dojo,   the   one   he   and   john   opened   a   while   ago,   it’s   still   being   made,   redone,   but   his   next   champion   is   there   (   and   he   knows   robby   keene   wants   to   be   a   champion,   he   sees   the   eagerness   in   there,   to   be   good   at   something   ).   “I’m   not   sensei   kreese.   things   will   be   hard,   mr.   keene.   i   will   use   methods   that   you   might   consider   extreme   but   it   is   required,   if   you   want   to   be   a   champion.”   echoes   and   echoes   of   the   past,   he   circles   through,   standing   behind   another   boy,   eager   to   be   taught   and   take   the   teachings.   “i   need   you   to   focus   on   the   goal,   not   the   pain,   understood?”

“robby,   i   swear,   i’m   fine.   the   movie   is   about   to   end   anyways.“   she   whines,   and   yeah,   she   is   sleepy   but   she   is   an   overachiever   and   she   is   specially   not   a   quitter.   she   can   finish   one   damn   movie   and   not   fall   asleep.   nevermind   how   much   she   trained   that   day   and   studied,   she   can   relax   for   a   few   hours   without   falling   asleep.   except,   robby   is   not   hearing   her   excuses   anymore   and   she   feels   strong   arms,   one   around   her   waist   and   the   other   behind   her   feet,   that   were   over   his   lap,   and   she   is   being   pulled   upward.   “woah,   okay.   you   taking   me   to   bed?“   she   doesn’t   really   mean   it   in   any   double   meaning   way   but   there   is   a   creep   of   a   blush   on   her   features   because   yeah,   robby   is   handsome   under   that   specific   light   and   he   is   sweet   and   strong   and   she   nuzzles   the   side   of   his   neck   as   a   pillow.   “you   are   warm.“
