I want to find out how other people feel/view the cities/places that they live.  I do not wish to directly collaborate with any one individual. The idea is off putting I work well alone. But to have input from others to help inform my own work is an exciting prospect.

I plan on doing this with the use of disposable cameras. I will first gather some interest in the project by using social media platforms to engage with friends, family and strangers from as far across the globe as I can get. They will be artist/photographers and non-creative people. All of them will be armed with a disposable camera. I will be sending them out with a letter asking them to use the camera to photograph the city/place that they are calling home. They will be able to interpret the brief however they like as long as it is to do with city/place. I will also leave a space on the letter blank to allow them to write a few words about city/place.

                      They will be given a stamp and address to return the cameras and letters to once they are done. I will then develop the films and make scans of the negatives. These will then in turn be uploaded to a new blog. The blog will be accessible by all that participate. I will include the address when I send the cameras out so that the people who took them can view them. I will be willing to send the digital files back to the photographers if they are requested.

                     The purpose of all this will be to not only create a record of place and put that with the thoughts of the place, it will also be used for me to respond to in my own photographic work following the same themes.

                     I am not 100% sure yet how I will use the images. I am not sure yet as to what form they will take. Some may lead me down one thought process where other will take me in the opposite direction. I am leaving the fate of this in the hands of others. Perhaps I will use the images in my own work. Try and incorporate them into what I am doing. Or they will just remain a reference point and guide to help me along my own lines of inquiry.  

                 As well as my ongoing research on my blog I will post about the photographs I am receiving as they come into me. If there are any lines of inquiry around them I will make sure to note them down and do any research around them that is required. This will help to back up my main lines of work.
