I added a grip wrap to this painted paddle bow. The grip is deer leather that is sewn on with waxed hemp cord. It has a few drops of glue added for extra security. The grip wraps around the arrow shelf, conforming to its shape very well.

Four paddle bows; Two finished bows were sealed with spar urethane today.

Two others were shot in, finish sanded and stained with dark walnut. I need to seal these two tomorrow and apply handle wraps.

Paddle bow: I did some work on this oak paddle bow this weekend. I evened out the limb thickness taper of both limbs. I checked the tiller and scraped wood until both limbs were bending evenly with a long string. Then I used Titebond 3 to glue on some Antelope rawhide to the limbs. I wrapped the rawhide in gauze and let it dry for a few days.

Now I will let the bow dry for a few weeks before doing any tiller work.
