“Mhm.” I replied, not really wanting to talk, I’d sat awake through many an operation before, and I’d ripped out my slave chip, as at the time I wasn’t confident enough to use the force on myself to get it out (I was worried I’d take my shoulder an arm with it, or accidently corrupt myself with something, I don't know, it just seemed the safer option).

Obi-Wan sucked in a breath and looked away at the wet squelching sound my leg made as the shrapnel was pulled out of it, I just kept watching, the sound made me cringe, but I was used to it, and the panic and nausea calmed down as I watched my leg, just my leg, just a little bit of shrapnel, just flesh that would quickly bounce back, not more cut away from my stumps.

“How are you keeping a straighter face than me?” Obi-Wan complained,

“Maybe we should do medical training together. A few first aid courses.” I recommended, let it never be said that Sidious had taught me nothing, that bastard.

Obi-Wan looked at me, interested and distracted

“You- you actually want to do something?” he asked

“I just suggested it didn’t I?” I asked rhetorically, he had actually gotten together a list of activities to try and convince me to do. I’d said no to all of them after skimming it, but had kept the list and read through it properly later, some of them were actually interesting, and I was leaning towards trying out ballet.

“With me?” Obi-Wan asked again

“Yes, together, if this happens again you can help, or, at least not get so squirmish.” I told him, putting on my best, I know this benefits you, but it’s really just for me, face.

“Yes!” Obi-Wan nearly-yelled, excited, then coughing his throat and calming down “I’ll sign us up, I’m sure it’ll be fun.”

I smiled.
