The snake portion! I absolutely loved these guys. Today was the second time I've touched a snake in my life and I'm in love! I really, really want a ball python now. And the boa!! She was just like pure muscle. A thirty pound necklace of muscle. The black snake was like a little baby, he just laid there.
Some miscellaneous shots. I didn’t take as many photos as usual, fatigue really messed with me today. It was fun though! The leopard gecko in the last pic was bought by my brother and the tarantula in the third pic was angry and threat posing.

OKAY. So. Expo was absolutely amazing! I got to meet so many new species (to me), and got to interact with so many animals! Here's the more lizardy portion of the pictures.

So there was ??SOMEHOW?? a single very tiny baby albino checkered garter snake and I was so so excited that I bought it immediately.
Don’t know if he’s a boy or girl because he’s too young to be sexed. I keep going with boy just because. I overpaid for him and I knew that when I handed the money over, but it’s worth it. He’s absolutely tiny and is currently in quarantine in an Olive Garden salad container.
He’s already taken a long drink and explored his new home. When I picked him up from the small transport cup to put him in the new one he was so small and I was so afraid of breaking him and I have never ever been so gentle with something in my life. He sat in my hand calmly and didn’t musk on me.
The tiny hides I bought are too big for the Olive Garden container. I love this little snake so so so much, I can’t even be sad that my original plans didn’t pan out. I’d gone in to look for an albino Nelson’s milk snake (saw none) or a children’s python (also saw none) but I knew as soon as I saw this little garter I had to have him. I’ve wanted one for a while, and now I just need to find a friend for him!
