Everytime I have to move out I'm confronted with the consequences of both my shopping and hoarding problem like where did all this stuff come from?

#ace is a mess #packing perils #student living #especially the clothes I swear I don't own that many clothes #be feeling like I don't have anything I want to wear and then it comes time to pack said clothes and fucking hell #I currently have 4 large vacuum sealed bags full of clothes have filled one large suitcase and am starting on the next #and you know what? I don't think its all gonna fit ngl #fuck I have so much stuff #it never feels like it when you're living in it but packing is a different beast #I hate moving out I became complacent last summer being able to take a year off from moving I forgot the depths of the horrors

It is once again that time of year where I must play leftovers roulette. A game of necessity where I try and make an edible meal using all of the ingredients I have left in my fridge, freezer and pantry

#ace tries cooking #student living #packing perils #one of the more experimental elements of moving out #this meal is going to be mainly chicken and vegetables but to be fair leftover roulette typically ends up being pretty veg heavy #this is the most protein I've ever had leftover ngl I didn't really I had any chicken left let alone that much #I thought I just had to use the chorizo and prawns I had left but alas #I also have sooo much frozen garlic and ginger I legitimately cannot use it all but I have finished 4 seasoning jars so that's good

My inexplicable urge to leave everything to the last minute even when it causes me untold stress

#ace is a mess #travel tag #packing perils #packed up my flat for the summer...... this morning 😐 yeh #i always end up rushing to catch my coach even though i know ill be early just to stress myself out i think #gotta go home for 5 weeks but our landlord wanted us to clean up like we were moving out even though we could leave our things #i could not convince myself to start on the task of organising my crap so i procrastinated packing to the last minute #had to pull an all nighter to make it work cus im an idiot #will i learn? no.

Finished packing at half 7, took an hour nap and then only just made it to my coach with a couple of minutes to spare, I live on the edge. The edge of a panic attack

#ace is a mess #packing perils #travel tag #tw: anxiety #im such a dumbass i literally could not get my brain to engage with the tasks #i left without doing everything i needed/wanted to and thats already after i realised as i was about to lock my flat #that i forgot my laptop charger and had to go back in for it cant wait to realise what else ive forgotten when i get home ✌️😗#i had to collect packages before i left and one of them turned out to be one of the presents i thought wasnt coming so thats something #god my heart is pounding and raining so i was tryna drag my stupid luggage around on slippery cobbles whilst in a panic #not my finest and yet somehow not my dumbest but im making new records for that every year at uni #is not as bad as my friend's travel experience though and as far as my mum is aware i was completely organised and responsible #maybe ill remember to get checked for adhd while im home at the gp im actually registered to

I'm travelling home tomorrow, I've only just wrapped the presents I'm taking with me and yet I still haven't packed a single other thing 🙃

#packing perils #i do this every time 😫#i know i can get it done so i just do everything in a few stressful hours despite dedicating allotted time to get it all done in time #why do i do this? ive literally been sat here all day and Tuesday mentally screaming at myself to just start #and yet its nearly 2am and thats all ive accomplished today 😭#i still have to go to reception before i leave tomorrow to collect the parcels i couldnt get today because they closed early #i was supposed to do laundry and i still need to shower and im only just having dinner i hate her (me)

Deciding to deprive myself of sleep to get all my packing done when I'm already sleep deprived from stress induced insomnia was not the best decision when I also don't have coffee

#ace is a mess #packing perils #i was supposed to buy a lil thing of iced coffee after moving all my stuff into my friend's flat for the month #but by the time wed done that id forgotten and then we went for drinks that lasted longer than she pla #*than shed planned 😂#tbf both times i was like oh 'ill just pull an all nighter to get this done' but i did end up getting a couple hours keep each night instead #i am so tired though. my insomnia always shows up to kick my ass before i travel for uni #the five shifts in a row the day before i had to move my stuff also did not help

I delay packing as long as possible every summer and am surprised by how long it takes every time

My inability to visualise shapes has once again thwarted me and I bought boxes too small for moving out

#ace is a mess #packing perils #student living #thank god i foresaw this issue and bought too many boxes and never threw out all of my boxes from moving out last summer #cus this always happens i dont know what size an 18 inch box is supposed to be or 457mm fck man i cant visualise a box #i hated shapes in maths exams id always fck it up i cant visualise shapes to save my life people who find puzzles relaxing baffle me
