Castle in the Sky -> [Pacinor]

Several things had happened to Elinor over the last few weeks that had lead her to scheduling an official meeting with Pacifica Northwest to discuss an idea.
The first thing was prom. It put the castle in a new light for her. She had wanted to clean the whole thing from parapet to dungeons, in preparation, but hadn’t had enough time. She wanted the castle to shine and be something to be proud of. The rose gardens trimmed and the lawns manicured. And then, it had been beaten down by all the people who hadn’t respected it. Elinor wanted to change that too.
And then, her boys had come to town and they looked at her so strangely these days. She knew it was because they were used to her being someone in command. Not working as a silly bookkeep. It was degrading. It made Elinor feel restless and ashamed.
And, most importantly perhaps: she had killed her ex-husband. This fact haunted her. She carried it with her to the bookshop and she carried it into her bed at night. Having a project would not change the fact of this, but it would, perhaps give her something else to focus on.
“Hello, Miss Northwest,” Elinor said when she entered the office. “It is good to see you again. I hope you fared well through that silly business with the dream.”
