Whale Watching, Maalaea
An enthusiastic naturalist slowly losing her voice guided us around Maalaea bay as we search for AND FOUND whales. Not just any whales though - baby whales, and mama whales who were feeding and diving. The feeding part attracted some bottlenose dolphins so seven-year-old me was elated to see them. We also saw a manta ray which is kind of a big deal. PAC Whale are a non-profit research group that do these tours to fund their studies and I definitely recommend a tour with them. Last pic is a dragonboating crew practicing at sunset outside our hotel, not a whale.
