Yesterday (left) and today (right) and a big a-- Pace Bus
January 20
Act of Kindness #20: Yesterday on my way to my job at Catholic Charities while riding the pace bus an old man got on and didn't have enough money to pay. The bus driver was very rude to him and yelled at him to pay "whatever damn pennies" he had. Other passengers on the bus started taunting him and embarrassing him by "booing." This made me angry! I got up, sat next to him & asked him about his day. I gave him money for his next bus ride. He thanked me & blessed me before I got off the bus while everyone else just stared at me with a look of shame.
Don't make fun of those who are in need, especially if you don't even know their stories. Even if he didn't need the money, that is NOT the way you treat your elders!!
