roleplaying habits question: multiples of four?
* ROLEPLAYING HABITS QUESTIONS.4. how often do you need to translate your own or the other’s writing with a dictionary or google when writing and reading replies? 8. how does tiredness affect your writing? 12. is there ever been a time when you’ve had to drop a roleplaying partner because you’ve found their writing style exhausting? 16. do you first get in the “zone” when writing, or do you start writing and “enter” it that way? 20. if you are writing a wrong reply that’s not working out, do you save what you have to be continued at another date, or do you scrap it and rewrite? 24. what’s your thought process when you format? any unspoken rules you follow?
normally i can read replies just fine, though i do google words here and there since i can be forgetful, but i mostly google words when i’m writing rather than reading because i like to make sure what i’m writing is correct and i’m not putting words in the wrong spot. phrases as well.
tiredness is.. a 50/50 thing. either it makes me unable to write anything coherent or it doesn’t do much at all. though i usually try not to write anything when i’m very tired because i don’t like to half ass things or write when i’m not in the best state so it doesn’t come out looking or feeling wrong.
maybe sometime in the past? i can’t remember the last time i’ve written with someone that had an “exhausting” writing style. most people i’ve written with have one that’s just fine in my opinion. i think it’s a lot worse if the premise of what you’re writing is more exhausting.
most of the time i do feel like i have to be in the zone, and i usually won’t start writing anything unless i really feel the reply coming or have the right amount of muse, but there are some times where i can just start to write something and see where it goes from there. it depends.
i try to save replies i write that don’t feel well at the moment because i feel like i might be able to make something more from it later when i’m more focused. the problem with some of my writing that doesn’t come out right immediately is that some parts don’t match with others, so i keep the whole reply for the good parts.
i just try to keep formatting as simple as i can while still making it.. unique, i guess. i don’t want to go too crazy with it since it’s time consuming and it’d make it hard for people to read.
