Alastor sends off the missive with his barn owl. There are only a few more slats of paperwork to be gone through and a session with the trainees before he can depart from the office and meet with Auror Marsden to talk a bit about the security specifics at Hogwarts. Though he so often feels that his days drag on, the hours devour themselves until he departs from the training arena and grabs up his outer robes and makes himself scarce from the Ministry.
He arrived at the Hogsmeade cafe just at half past and settles himself into a booth with a bitter mug of black coffee. And not a moment too soon.
“Marsd’n.” His accent chops off the end of her name as he greets her. “Glad y’ could meet me.”
