Alex had came back from another meeting his phone had been off all morning and afternoon. As he walked into the building people and everyone were giving him a strange look, even stranger than normal which made Alex wondered what was going on. He walked into his office to see his brother Collins seating in his chair, waiting for him; there was a grin on Collinâs face and a devilish smile as well.Â
Collins did not say anything to him but smiled as he dropped a magazine on Alexâs desk before getting up and walking out of the office with pride. Alex was still confused what was going on as he watched his brother walk out, after Collins closed the door behind him, he walked toward his desk and saw the magazine and what it made.Â
Alex froze, as he read the cover. Alex just stood there unsure of how to feel, react. He could not believe that his past was out in public and he knew this will bring unwanted attention. Alex sighed as silent tears rolled down his face.Â

Brooklyn scurried back to her room to write her story that she would hide from Chase. The brunette changed into something warmer for her scavenger hunt. She wore her off-white crop top and high-waisted leggings and brown ankle boots. Brooklyn laid her burgundy coat on the table so she wouldnât forget it on her way out. She sat at her desk and began to write.
Okay so Iâm assuming you probably won because itâs going to take me a year and a half to find your note on this huge campus. #NewGirlProbs I guess. So here it goes, my name is Brooklyn Jade Browning. Iâm eighteen, almost nineteen years old. I was born and raised in New York City on the Upper East Side. I have parents richer than half the country put together I swear to god. Theyâre cool and humble but sometimes I wish I could escape the pressure they bring. Well, hereâs the dark part: I had an identical twin sister, Blair. She was my best friend. We did everything together. As we got older, she drifted apart and began hanging around older boys. On January 20th last year, she died after taking a lethal concoction of drugs. I still havenât come to terms with losing my other half, but Iâm working on it. Iâm here at Vanderwood to escape the pressure and pity of New York City. I hated everyone talking about Blair and how much everyone loved her and how sorry they were for me all the time. But thatâs a big part of who I am, but Iâm trying to escape that. I just want to be Brooklyn with friends who know me outside of being âThe Dead Girlâs Sister.â Iâm lost, this is the first time Iâve admitted it, but I need a purpose again. Thatâs why Iâm here. Iâm a marketing major and a freshman and a theta, Iâm trying to find myself. I love cheerleading and helping other people and I want to live in a third world country for a year and help teach kids English. I just want to live a life that makes me happy and that Iâm passionate about.

Brooklyn kissed the paper next to the B on the page with her matte lipstick. She smiled as she left her room with her coat. Brooklyn walked over to the Fountain that her big had mentioned earlier and placed the letter underneath a trashcan. She sent a text to Chase, â1. Youâre a piece of trash. 2. Iâm the center of attention. 3. Wet t-shirt contest.â Brooklyn smiled and waited for his response.
Faust smoothed his palms over the surface of his slick and shiny hair, a habit; particularly when he was feeling smug and on this particular occasion, he most certainly was. "You'll have to become acquainted with my home in case you find yourself crawling back to it without me in a drunken stupor tomorrow morning" he said with a chuckle, it was a likelihood, he considered, any of Faust's close friends knew that he had a tendency to stray and follow strangers home but somehow he always managed to make it back, it was a gift, he supposed and would proudly announce if you had asked him.
Shouldering his front door open he was greeted by the fresh smell of York's, the sheer number of products he used on a regular basis gave his home the pleasant scent of a day spa or similar, not to mention the York's candle burning in the kitchen; Faust didn't seem to think it a problem to leave it burning all day long whilst he was absent.
"Make yourself at home." he insisted as he stripped off his blazer and hung it on the coat rack, fluidly loosening his bow tie and unbuttoning his shirt "We'll leave soon enough" he said, glancing outside. "Once it's dark and we can't see straight" he added with a chuckle before disappearing into his bedroom.
Faust returned to Chase re-dressed in darker shades, maintaining his dapper manner with a freshly tied bowtie and a neat jacket so immaculately kept that it appeared brand new. He straightening his bowtie as he approached Chase with a smirk "Now, the good stuff" he said with a nod of his head before fishing through his extensive liquor cabinet for just the bottle he was after.
The room smelled of burning oil and smoke, and Aspen sat with a pert, satisfied smile on his lips, tossing a small fireball from hand to hand. Where fatigue should have thickened the blood in his veins to lead from the long, intense training session he'd been working on with Chase, adrenaline increased the flow of liquid through his veins and kept his heart pounding at a rate that made him feel invincible â like he could take on the world with both hands tied behind his back. The idea of the work they were doing was more to benefit his comrade than himself, with Chase liquifying his arms into thick streams of highly-flammable oil and Aspen setting the substance alight until instructed to stop; this allowed Chase to develop his healing factor further and gave Aspen a great source of entertainment, considering playing with fire was obviously one of his preferred ways to spend time. It also helped that he didn't have to spar with the other boy, taking into mind "Goop" was one of the few people that genuinely terrified him beyond what his usual cockiness could make up for. His energy had been considerably drained by the day's events, but some part of his still thirsted for more, desired an opponent that would fight back, who had a will to live that Aspen could choke out of their body until it was lifeless.
Mind wandering, he considered the possibility of whether or not Chase would care to accompany him on this sort of deranged, aimless murder mission without a target in mind, or if he was still too traumatized from his incident with Bennie to go after anyone. Then again, he believed he'd be doing the other a favour by getting him back into the mode of a cold-blooded killer and pulling him from the funk he appeared to be in. Though his powers were equally as up to par as they'd always been, Aspen could tell that something was off with him and had it out to try and correct the issue; efficiency was not to be left under blankets of emotion and turmoil â shedding those covers would be easy with another's aid, and that was where he planned to come in. Vertigo clouded his vision as he hopped up from where he was sitting, flames dissipating between his fingers into thin air. "Something seems weird with you," he commented, crossing the room and thereby closing the space between the two. "I won't ask why, because I know you're not a feelings guy, but as a future Elder I feel like it's my job to⌠Fix this problem, and I have an idea." He paused, seating himself on the edge of Chase's chair and tapping the other on the nose at the risk of losing his finger. "We're going to go kill someone. Okay?"
January flopped back on her bed, her smooth brown locks fanning around her head. She stared at the ceiling as she focused on her breathing pattern. She felt her every breath as her stomach expanded cause her hands to rise when she took a breath in, and when she took a deep breath out, her hands sunk back down. The action was relaxing to her and allowed her mind to swim with the past events of her week without January drowning in them. A quote surfaced to the front of her mind: becoming fearless isn't the point--that's impossible. It's learning how to control your  fear and how to be free from it. Free from fear. Wouldn't that be something? January wondered if her parents were still alive, would she be this way? This petite girl harboring more fear than she can handle at times? No, she probably wouldn't. But, January figured some of her current fears would still be there. She wanted to learn to control her fears so badly, but control meant a reign on something January didn't want to reign in--her emotions. If she didn't wear her heart on her sleeve, January wouldn't be the same, she'd be someone, someone like Chase. Chase. The thought of the Enmity boy made January's flame up with embarrassment, guilt, and other emotions she couldn't quite figure out. "January, you idiot." The words sounded more real when she voiced the thought aloud. She was embarrassed by her audacity--by what she'd done. She kissed him. Her first kiss, gone just like that. It wasn't romantic like January had always pictured it would be. January allows had a little movie play in her head: her first kiss would be exactly like Noah and Allie's noteworthy kiss in the rain--passionate and full of raw love. But it wasn't like that at all. Jan had been the one to initiate it and the shock he felt when she placed her lips against his was the very shock she felt now. Absentmindedly, January brought her fingers up to her soft lips--she felt like she could still feel the boy's cool ones on her own. January wasn't sure how she felt about it. She didn't hate, that was for sure, but she was hopelessly confused. She bet he thought she was some stupid little girl--that was, what most of Enmity treated her as. But he kissed her back hadn't he? That had shocked Jan to her very core. He kissed her back--it was so unexpected and perhaps that's why Jan couldn't stop thinking about it. The cool touch of his hand on her cheek was engraved in her memory and burned her skin at the thought. Then he'd left. He simply left. But he hadn't left in one piece and for some bizarre reason, Jan liked knowing she had effected him in some way--she'd made him feel enough that even his voice couldn't help disguise that. Jan knew that her heart was slowly opening up to the boy in a way that would allow her to trust him as much as she trusted Marlow, but January knew it wasn't smart. He was Enmity. He was robotic. He was cold. But, he was also a confused and fearful person just like herself. Thinking about the quote again, January began to think that maybe they could help each other control their fears and in the end, maybe the two would be fearless or as close to fearless as possible. Or, Jan's whole plan to help Chase could backfire. January sighed as she continued to let her mind debate about the Enmity boy who she couldn't get off her mind.Â

Being in Brooklyn was nice. It had been a lot of fun for Cassidy to get to see where Chase was from, to see where he'd grown up and all the places he went. It was just another way for her to get to know him better and there was nothing she minded about that in the slightest. Any opportunity she had like this, she was willing to take. Waking up a little before him, having stayed at his dad's empty house for the evening, Cassidy made her way towards the kitchen, keeping as quiet as possible to not wake Chase up. Making her way around the kitchen in the pajamas she'd slept in, her hair down and around her shoulders, she went through, opening a few cabinets to finally find some plates. It was weird not knowing her way around the kitchen and it took her a little longer to find things, not wanting to be banging around. Opening the fridge she found very little, reminding herself that Chase's dad wasn't home much so she shouldn't be surprised, she was grateful to find a couple of eggs before moving on to another cupboard finding some pancake mix that would work just fine for their breakfast. It wouldn't be a feast, but it would do. Getting everything fired up and dancing around the kitchen as the pancakes cooked and cleaning up all at the same time, not wanting to leave a mess, she heard movement behind her, flipping the pancake and smiling. "Morning." She said sweetly, thinking Chase had woken up. "I was going to surprise you with breakfast in bed, but guess you woke up to soon." Finishing her statement, she turned around, confused by the strange man standing there instead of her boyfriend, jumping a little bit and letting out a startled shriek.
NOTES  â Chase and Victor head out to have some fun in the city.
This day was going to be full of jokes and Chase rolling his eyes, he knew that given his company. âRosie would prob get a bit jealous even if I did the PG Doctor thing with you.â Rosie and Chase had an agreement when it came to sex. Of course, Rosie knew Chaseâs secret but they still needed to get off and why not give each other a hand in a few situations.âDoctor is her title in our bedroom, afterall.â Chase joked with Victor a bit. âAlright, the first bar it is. Weâre gonna be going from place to place, man, youâre granted to find a shit ton of fine ladies..or dudes, whatever.â The paparazzi was something Chase seemed to always forget about and barely pay any mind it. âEh, itâs not like theyâd be so surprised to see us fuckinâ around all over.â He shrugged.
Chase never thought about never leaving New York but it was definitely a possibility. Work mightâve been in Arkansas but for what Chase was looking to do in the future, New York would be almost ideal. He wanted to start his own business building and designing rooms. Already he was beginning to put together a business plan and with all the money he was making through City Limits and in the past from The Island, it was all beginning to fall into place. This was something he really only shared with Rosie, though, for fear of failing and that worried him but with Rosie he was able to confide anything and everything in her. âI guess you donât really have to leave when the show ends, if you donât want. Like you said, this place has fucking everything.â Nodding in agreement to Victor, Chase gave him a small smile. âCouldnât have said it better myself. Letâs tear this place apart.â Without a warning, Chase made a sharp right turn into an alley followed by walking into a sketchy entrance. It was the first bar Chase knew was close by and, yeah, it was a little dirty and shady but the boys were just looking to get started. A few drinks here and then they could be off to the next place. âTwo shots of tequila, PLEASE.â Chase exclaimed slamming his fist onto the bar top.
VICTOR
Chase was right. Victor could stay in New York indefinitely. The possibilities of doing so were endless. The eldest Anderson had always wanted a vibrant life, full of energy and people. He was never one to shy away from a crowd, always and forever the center of attention. Perhaps it was this, more than anything else, that inspired his desire to build a real name for himself. All while staying within the club circuit. It felt like a natural progression from party-goer to club owner. He'd confessed this desire once before only to be scoffed at; What do you know about running a club? But he knew more than he let on. He was more than just a pretty face and a wild force to be reckoned with. How easy it was for him to be dismissed as young and reckless when he had the intelligence and determination that would make his business thrive. They'd all see in due time. And what a better place than New York to blow the minds of those who'd doubted him?
Two shots of tequila, PLEASE. Victor chuckled at Chase's enthusiasm, approaching the bar, "And keep 'em coming!" This was Victor's first night out and about in New York and he'd be damned if it didn't go down as one of the most legendary nights of his entire life. When the bartender slid the first set of shots onto the bar top, he'd reached for his glass and brought it to his lips, letting the amber liquid coat his mouth and scorch his throat as his emerald hues scanned the occupancy of the bar, silently trying to decide whether or not he saw anyone worthy enough of flirting with, "So," Victor began, hoping to create conversation, and to curb his curiosity, "Why didn't Rosie tag along with us? Aren't you two attached at the hip?"
NOTES  â Chase and Victor head out to have some fun in the city.
Upon hearing Victorâs voice, Chase scoffed. If anyone else had made a gay joke like that to Chase (besides a select few) he wouldâve flipped but Victor was Victor and he was always saying shit like that. Plus, Chase always found Victorâs side remarks somewhat complimentary. âThey can eat there little gay heart outs.â Chuckling softly, Chase went ahead and took another muffin shoving it his mouth in the same fashion as before. Mouth stuffed full, Chase began talking pieces falling out of his mouth purposely, âWe both know youâre just pretendinâ to be not hot and bothered.â Using the back of his hand, Chase wiped off any lingering crumbs and nodded at Victor. âAye, aye. Then lets not waste any more time and hit the pavement.â Following Victorâs lead, they headed towards the elevator. âIâll give you two hundred bucks later if you can successfully get your ass up the stairs all the way to the fifteen floor when we get back.â The elevator doors were already opened and waiting for the two boys, Chase hit the ground floor button and in seconds the doors closed and descended to the lobby.Â
When the doors opened, Chase exited heading straight out of the Clock Tower. âWhere should we head first? The nearest open bar?â Like most people in the house, Chase had never been to New York and this was all new to him. However, he had already found the best bars on their block as well as the bars that opened the earliest and stayed opened the latest. âMaybe if weâre not too fuckinâ trashed we can head into Manhattan and see what that has to offer. I havenât traveled outside of Brooklyn yet. This place is pretty fuckinâ cool, I gotta say. Pretty modern and shit.â
VICTOR
Iâll give you two hundred bucks later if you can successfully get your ass up the stairs all the way to the fifteen floor when we get back.
Victor pondered Chase's two hundred dollar offer, a grin tugging at the corner of his lips, his slim digits tapping his chin in thought as both men stepped into the elevator side by side. Was climbing fifteen flights of stairs while completely wasted even possible? Of course it was possible. Dangerous but possible. He was Victor fucking Anderson and that meant he was capable of anything. Turning his attention from the closing elevator doors to Chase, Victor nodded, "You've got yourself a deal, my friend. However, if I fall down the stairs and bust my head open, be prepared to play doctor, Evans. But no worries, I'm speaking of the not-as-fun PG version that won't get you in trouble with your girlfriend." When the elevator doors dinged and proceeded to slide open, Victor followed Chase out of the Clock Tower, shrugging a shoulder, "The nearest open bar seems good to me. I mean, as long as the place has alcohol and a couple good lookin' people, I'm happy. As much as I love the attention, I'm sure paparazzi are bound to show up sooner or later when they get word that Chase Evans and Victor Anderson are out on the town, stirring up trouble. Maybe if we can find a packed bar, we can evade them long enough to have a good time."
They were practically famous now, which meant trouble making made headlines on TMZ, Perez Hilton, and other celebrity gossip sites. Although Victor believed that all publicity was good publicity, he hadn't gotten the opportunity to enjoy New York, which was what he wanted to do more than anything, without too many cameras (aside from those taping the show) in his face, "New York is fucking perfect. Everything I've seen thus far -- the restaurants, the sights, the night life. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to want to leave, you know? I'm down for anything because there's nobody else I'd rather be doing this with than you, my man. We're young, we're gorgeous, we're in New fucking York. Let's live it up!"
