The different journal booklets I have at the moment :) Current book I’m using | moleskine from papa’s company | random book I bought for $1.50 cuz of the cute dot grids hehe
BOOK TEST 📙📓📔✨ Ok sadly I believe all the pages in every book are of semi quality, and by that I mean the pages aren’t too thick like cardstock, but aren’t too thin either. Why I say this is because my liquid ink pens bleed through them :’( but I believe most notebooks have this paper quality so I’m not complaining too much. :)
The current book I’m using is a small, compact, and squarish book from an NUS fair? (No I’m not a traitor #ntu) it’s a hard cover book with ALOT of blank pages, slightly small in size but it fits my contents quite snugly, and it looks cute :) I especially like the front cover’s design, with simple wording - the change is me. And I believe 2016 has been a year of betterment, and positive change :) What I don’t like about it is the fact that it cannot open flat on the table, thus making it difficult for me to write sometimes, and the fact that my writing becomes messy when I reach the bottom of the page. But overall I’m really quite impressed and satisfied at this cute book :3 #freethrills HAHA.
The moleskine is a book from the company my dad’s working at, and firstly I like to say that I get this thrill whenever I see/receive new notebooks ✨🙌🏼✨ looking at this notebook gives me so much calm and happy feels I can’t even. And my dad brought home two cuz I was asking him about whether his company supplied him with notebooks. Aww thanks pi 💕 BUT THAT ALSO MEANS HE HAS MORE WOOHHH ✨📓💕✨ Ok so this moleskine is a grey hard cover with a lot of blank pages as well, and it has added features that are characteristics of a moleskine such as a ribbon to mark the current page, a “this book belongs to” page at the front, and smth that I REALLY adore - the little paper folder thing at the back to store little pieces of paper or wtv that you want to store inside. The book also lays flat, making it easy to write and view as well. Lastly, it’s definitely bigger than the current book I’m using = more space to write/draw more things on one page, and that I guess is definitely a bonus. The size is just nice for a proper journal too. However, it has my dad’s company’s mission and vision stuff in the front, which is kinda funny but kinda cute. AND THE PAPER ISNT VERY GOOD :< which is sadly another characteristic of moleskines haha. I’m deliberating whether to start 2017’s entries in this book, or continue to stick with my current book (because I haven’t really used much of it, and half-used notebooks really irk me actually hurr) sigh, life decisions HAHA. I’m also abit apprehensive whenever I have to write in a completely new and fresh book HAHA. SO MUCH PRESSURE.
Lastly, (wow if you actually read till here) the oblong-shaped notebook I got for $1.50 while at NTU’s mini toons outlet. It was actually refill booklets for this series they were selling called a Traveler’s notebook journal, and it’s basically a book cover/wrap thing that can tie a few of these booklets together to form a unique journal. And these notebooks came in lined, gridded, or dotted. The whole thing (book cover + 3 of these notebooks (lined, gridded, dotted) inside) was too expensive for me, so I got the dots refill for fun because it reminds me of bullet journal paper :3 it also gives the illusion of a blank piece of paper, but still gives you that structure of a gridded paper, especially when you want to draw, make habit trackers, or draw things with lines. However, it is in an odd shape (being really ractangular), it isn’t hard cover (means it will suffer the worst in my hands), and it doesn’t have a lot of pages (no wonder it is a refill). However it does have a quirky feel to it because of its cardboard-ish cover and the slightly yellowed dotted paper, and that’s what I like about it :3
Ok my rant is over. If you’ve made it this far, wow cool, sorry no prizes HAHA lame but since you’re here please let me know whether I should start on a new journal or just continue with my current one 🤔
And that is all for tonight. Adieu.
