How long had it been? A few days? A week? Jin couldn’t remember. Having had tried texting him once while the one in question was away. But then not hearing anything from him, made her worried. Calling didn’t go through either. So once she got an update about him being back like what... a week later? A big wave of relief swept over her. Having had thoughts about him just getting up and leaving with out a word. It made her think back to a time she didn’t really like to recall.

But, here they were in each others arms. Not knowing what came over her at the sight of him. Maybe the worry? Maybe the I might not see him again. But, this was it. The words left her mouth without even realizing it. And there he was with his arms wrapped around her. 

Glancing up at him, a small glare appeared upon her face. “No, you didn’t tell me.” In truth he didn’t have to tell her. It wasn’t like the two were dating right? Burring her face within his jacket, not wanting to see Jaekyung’s face as of now.

Not being one to normally wake the other in the middle of the night, Jin couldn’t help it this time. Not being able to get any words out. She had decided on pulling at his tank top instead.Having had a nightmare just seconds ago. Thinking that the other had left, she didn’t think he’d be there still. But upon seeing him still sound asleep made her heart calm. But that didn’t stop the images from her dream to cross her mind. Upon hearing his voice, the young mermaid jumped a little not thinking that just tugging on his tank once would wake him. “No-nothing.” she stuttered out while laying back down. Lie, that was so a lie and she knew he would know. 

Maybe she was jumping to conclusions. A small ‘huh’ escaped her lips while uncrossing her arms. “I saw you--” More like the young mother witnessed first had. Having been told earlier that week that the other had too much work to even talk. Since knowing he was always working on something she didn’t think anything of it.  Yet, just yesterday after getting off from work she witnessed first had him out with a friend. (well, it looked like a friend.) Maybe, just maybe Jin was being jealous but having had been in a few bad relationships in the past... It was hard for her sometimes with the anxiety of maybe the other getting tired of her.

It wasn’t as if she tried getting in touch with some of her other friends. But most of them wouldn’t pick up, so just her luck when Jaekyung did. The water at her house had been turned off since they were redoing the bathrooms. And so her family had to fend for themselves to try and find somewhere to take a bath and or shower. True the young mermaid could go to the bath house. But-- that would lead to too many questions and people most likely freaking out. Only a select few of her friends knew of her secret. But they weren’t answering. So hopefully, just hopefully Jae wouldn’t find out but if he did. Here goes trying to explain why a mermaid was in his bathtub.
