Well Earned Peace and Quiet || Belladolphus
It had been a long day with little to no chance of reprieve when Rod finally settled down onto the couch in the common room. The fire was roaring and most of his classmates were in bed which was how the pureblood preferred things. He watched as the last couple of stragglers made their way up to their dorms for the night before summoning his sketch book. As the charmed book made it’s way silently but quickly through the air, Rodolphus pulled a piece of charcoal from his rucksack just as the book landed in his lap. He placed the tip of his wand on the cover of the inconspicuous book and murmured a few spells to break the tight wards he had on his property before turning to the page he’d been working on the night before.
He wasn’t sure how long he’d been working when he heard someone else enter the dorms. Rod’s hand stilled on the paper, glancing up for a second.
Bella.Â
It felt as if a weight was lifted from his shoulders as his betrothed came into sight. “Bella, nice night for a late night stroll?” He grinned, his eyes shining light and cheeky in the dimly lit common room.Â
