pathos; minaĀ ā jihyo
Throughout the course of history, it has always been clear that there was a necessity for society to divide itself based upon social status. Albeit the prerequisites for falling within a specific class differing from each community to the next, a visible trend could always be seen within the elite. Wealth. Power. Fame. Three words that without fail ensured the complete and utter domination of those without; causing those that possessed such qualities to lead in whatever manner they saw fit. Continuing on, a leader would need to be able to trust their underlings; yet not completely so as to disable the off-chance of betrayal. It is because of this that when Mina had received word of insubordination within Team Rocketās ranks in Mokpo, that she proceeded with haste.Ā
Grunts were at best, gruntsĀ ā the runt of the litter that were called upon to do all the menial work. Mina couldnāt relateĀ ā she hadnāt been a grunt for very long before her potential was realised and she moved up through the ranks. That was why she couldnāt understand the thought process of those grunts that had remained grunts for years. It couldnāt possibly have been that hard to do something well and earn a promotionĀ ā or at least she thought. But again, there was rarely a time when she had underperformedĀ ā so she couldnāt see why she wouldĀ be able to understand.
Nearing the specified location within Mokpo, Mina would hear hushed voices emanating from an alleyway before a scream would follow. Rushing, she would turn the corner only to see the figure of a collapsed girl and three Team Rocket grunts. No doubt they had followed her, assaulted her, and stolen her pokĆ©mon. This wasnāt what she had signed up forĀ ā yet it was Team Rocketās ideology to steal from others. She wasnāt complainingĀ ā but this was certainly not the way to do it. If she was going to reprimand her forces, she would need a disguise so as to not betray her own identity. It was a good thing that she had always carried one with her for diplomatic purposesĀ ā in the case a situation ever arose in which civil unrest broke out and all of South Koreaās diplomats would need to go into hiding. Slipping it on, she turned the corner only to see another familiar presence at the end of the alleywayĀ ā a face that had been plastered throughout the city as their angelic gym leader.Ā
āWhen they told me that there were several delinquents in the area stirring trouble, I thought Iād find Rocket trash.ā Mina, now masked, would announce with slight vitriol whilst ignoring the girl at the end of the alleyway.Ā āAre you prepared for what comes next?āĀ
