Night Birds || Cedric & Avery
Music blared in his ears as he paraded down the streets of Easton, Connecticut. He nodded his head at the rhythm, humming the tone under his breath. Night had fallen over the town and the night birds had crawled out of their caves, greeting the moon with enthusiasm and thirsty lips. The amount of people that gravitated towards High Street always increased during the weekends. Each had their own destination, though by far, the most populated place seemed to be Olivio's. It was Cedric's preferred place to visit but this Saturday, it wasn't his first stop of the night. Instead, he moved past the large crowd that had gathered by its door and instead continued further down the street towards the college campus. At least, he came to stop at the final store that separated the road that lead down to the University and the one that lead to the busy. He could see a large sign hanging on the front of the store, indicating that it was still open even at the late of hours. Regardless, the small coffee shop sat quietly in comparison to the remainder in the streets save a few locals eager to grab whatever book they sold on the other side. The curly headed man wasn't interested in any of that however. What he was more interested in was the seats that they offered outside for their customers to enjoy the outside weather while still enjoying their beverages.
He pulled up one of the chairs, seating himself down on the metal chair. He leaned back on the seat, slouching with one arm rested upon the arm rest and the other on his lap, holding onto his iphone. He turned the music up with one swift motion before unlocking his phone and sending a quick text informing his expected company of his arrival and where he had decided to place himself in while he waited. He leaned his head back afterwards, the edge of the metal chair pressed against his neck. His eyes opened, watching the stars in the distance for a moment, the music that blasted in his ears seeming fit for such a night. His head turned to spy the various people about, dragging their drunken friends down the streets and towards the next bar, anxious to hit all of them before the night ended. Tonight, everyone was over twenty one and no one could tell them otherwise. It was just as Cedric liked it. He was just about to dig into his pocket for a cigarette just before he saw the seemingly innocent brunette approaching him. "Looks like you got out," he shouted, standing up from his spot and pulling out the ear phones from his ear. He could still hear the murmur of the music sounding from the tiny buds. Glancing down at the phone in his hands, he shut it off.
