Ozwald lives in a mansion within a cherry grove forest that he built above a village before declaring himself the mayor of said village. No one else has technically claimed ownership of the land so he took it upon himself to do so, in spite of whoever may or may not already live there.

The villagers don't mind him though, and living with Oz in charge is quite like if your city was owned by a literal raccoon but he does a fine enough job so you let him dig through your garbage as a treat.

Not many know where he came from or even what he is, and his asocial tendencies certainly don't help. He may seem like a creep when spotted staring from the treeline, but he's simply curious and perhaps looking for a bite to eat.
