ONS x Pandora Hearts
About the chapter from April 23, I couldnāt help myself but think even more of Pandora Hearts. And so I stopped to think about some similarities between both stories, and hereās the result!
ā¼ļø Contains spoilers for both stories! Iām exploring here ONS until the most recent chapter and PH story as a whole! If you havenāt read PH and would very much like to, Iād recommend not reading this post.ā¼ļø
ā Jack Vesalius x Shikama : Jack ālovedā Lacie. He got obsessed with her and after she died he decided to bring the world to her. Itās when happens the Tragedy of Sablier. Instead of reviving Lacie, probably because it wasnāt near as possible, he decided to end everything. Shikama, on the other hand, as he lost his beloved won, decided to sacrifice the whole world to bring Mikaela back. So I guess both caused a tragedy in the name of the ones they loved the most. Even Jack's and Shikama's design are similar, both are devil figures, liars and destroyed lives.
ā Oz x Yuu: both are the main characters, both donāt know who they are and both have their memories ālockedā. Yuu is an eyeball, Oz is a plushie rabbit that came to life. They both are extremely attached to the ones that gave them a name: Alice and Mika, respectively.
ā Alice x Mika: gave names to something inhuman which they loved dearly. The princess figure, Alice the girl trapped in a tower and Mika the sleeping beauty.
ā OzAlice x Mikayuu: Alice is the sun, the light, to Oz, the same way Mika is the light to Yuu. Oz and Yuu were named by Alice and Mika. They both were separated and brought together. Based on sacrifices and deep loyalty and love.

3) Who has trouble sleeping alone?
Well, itās certainly not Alice. She could fall asleep on concrete in the middle of nowhere. But Oz likes to cuddle, so heās a bit more difficult.
9) Who finds stray animals and begs the other to let them keep them?
Oz would, but Alice is always asking/trying to eat them so keeping the poor things would just danger their life more.
11) Who plays their music out loud?
Both of them have similar music taste, so they end up doing stupid little karaoke sessions in their living room. Dancing included!
13) Who gives the most compliments?
Oz, usually, since Aliceās compliments are better labeled āroundabout insultsā. Still, she means them to be nice in the end, so he lets it slide.
19) Who clings to the other for comfort when theyāre sad or scared?
Both of them do a fair share of that, and the other is always there to try and cheer them up in their own way.
