Usually I do not paint when my kids are up. Earlier experiences of spilling paint all over the floor when my 2 year old bumped the frame which bumped the paint off the table now keep me from that. But as you can see in the clip my 5 year old is spinning on my chair in the background. My 9 year old is filming this. My 7 year old was playing with the baby who is now 16 mos and in general this was a loud, chaotic, real life Mom moment. Yet I hadn't quite finished the background when Daddy said they could get up from naptime so we had this colorful moment. What tickled me the most was my 5 year old's comments. Him- "Mom, what a pretty painting" Me."Thanks" Him- "Mom, what a nice tree." Me- "Are you my cheerleader?" Him- "Mom, what pretty leaves." Me-" You're sweet." Him- "Mom, this is GORGEOUS"" Kids are cute, funny and the lifeblood of a parent's existence. So here was a little glimpse into the real life behind my art and scarves. #momlife #mommyartist #makersgonnamake #momtrepreneur #ritzysilk #inprogress #whatkidssay #owlscarf #painting #wetonwet #etsyartist #etsyhandmade #handmadeaccessories #momfashion #howitsmade #behindthescenes #mommoment
