i know! i’m suprised no one brought attention to that (probably ‘cause the absence of stannis is the bigger issue here, sort of), but they actually were the first to back jon for the position of the commander and just overall, it sucks :(

Like I sort of get it, because they made very little out of some characters who are more prominent in the books (like Donal Noyle who's the one who actually faces Mag) and made more our of Grenn and Pyp, so in terms of emotion it was more hard hitting for them to die than people the audience won't recognise (unless they know the books)... and also I loved seeing Grenn be a little badass facing down a giant... but also screw that I want my Grenn and Pyp back T-T and yeah... I guess Stannis will come charging in to save the day next week instead and Sam and Eddison will be backing Jon as the new commander.
