it’s really interesting with the new update how Loops nihilism parallels the Directors nihilism. Loops mentality is more “your life doesn’t matter because you’re going to keep dying anyway” while the Director’s mentality is “your deaths don’t matter because you’ll come back to life anyway.”

And despite that outward perspective they’re both hypocrites. Even if Loop is nihilistic about the future of the Siffrins they still try to help as much as possible (and they do help!) Meanwhile the Director’s hypocrisy is in their denial that this is real. Their deaths DO matter, they still hold weight, not just on the Siffrins but on the rest of their party if they’re unfortunate enough to witness the torment. They’re all living through the pain but the Director can’t face that it’s not just an act yet.
