If you told me at the start of 2016 that it would end even worse, I probably would've found the largest hole to hibernate in for the duration. I could've avoided all the pain of loss and skipped the emotional drain of worry (both of which were in high demand this year). For better or worse, there's no way of knowing things like this. We simply have to endure and attempt to move on. The good news, and trust me, there is some, is that: a) there were still a few good memories made and b) the year is almost over - not that 2017 is guaranteed to be better, but I'd like to think we've hit rock bottom.
