I would be lying if I said I supported Beth’s behavior, but it doesn’t mean I don’t understand it.

She loves Morty and Summer, but her dynamic with Rick is far more important to her then her children, sadly. It’s because of the abandoment, something I can relate to. She is living in a fog and sooner or later it will come crashing down. Morty and Summer will value Jerry more, which honestly I think should happen. We have already seen Summer reach out to him, it’s only a matter of time until Morty does the same. Following on that theory, Beth is going to realize shes going to lose her family and will make a big choice. Her family, or her Father. Personally, I could see it going either way.

Following the therapy session, something I see a lot of people getting butt hurt about... Rick is allowed to have the opinion he has, often times sick people do. They will come to nearly any conclusion of why they don’t need therapy. Addicts who need recovery, will do nearly anything to get out of it. Rick is an addict, he isn’t loving or supportive and Beth looks up to him, for all the wrong reasons. I don’t know why anyone would expect any less out of both of them in this episode. Both are sick and need help and more then likely will never reach that understanding, in fact they will avoid it. I think Beth has more hope then Rick however.

EVERYONE. You’re all so wonderfully sweet and have been so welcoming to me on my return from a hiatus that lasted the better part of a year, even though I know I’ve done precious little writing since. I’ve put a lot of work into the way I write Tyrion, and to have 1000+ people who enjoy the culmination of that work is simply unbelievable. I love every single one of you. I suppose this means it’s time to get off my ass and start writing, but thank you, so much. ❤
