The other day I seen someone (I can’t remember who, I’m sorry) post something along the lines of “what if the character that replaces Earving in the Black Noir suit is an Earving clone”? And I think that would be spectacular!
If Vought has the ability to create supes, then there’s reason to believe they have the ability to clone people (not even counting the fact that in the comics he’s literally a clone). And Vought likes to protect their assets. A super abled soldier who follows their orders without question, is most definitely an asset.
I’m considering making that a verse, but I haven’t fully decided yet.
If I do, I’m thinking that before the trip to Nicaragua, they started the cloning process under the belief that there was a slim chance he’d make it back after betraying Soldier Boy to the Russians. When he did come back and made a recovery, they put his clone “on ice” so to speak, saving him for a day when they would need him. With Earving’s death, there’s now a need for the clone.
He’d have all of Earving’s memories, abilities, etc, up to the point of when he was created. Nicaragua and everything afterwards wouldn’t be a part of the clone.
