College has been kicking my butt lately, so I haven’t felt much like replying. I’ll hopefully have time sometime soon to complete drafts, but in the meantime, please bear with me. But I haven’t forgotten about any of them, I promise!

So, college has scrambled my brain to pretty much mush. So the only person I truly know I owe is my Sayid, but other than that, I have no bloody clue.

I'm rewatching "...In Translation" and that scene where Shannon and Sayid are building the shelter and he says she's capable of building it on her own, she's happy - so happy because Sayid's compliments are never false- and she realizes it's a double-edged compliment cause Sayid doesn't look happy. And when she realizes her brother is still ruining what little chance she has to find happiness, that complete look of devastation before she tries to put the mask back in place KILLS ME. And she can't hide very well. She let Sayid in and you know she was fearful that one of the few people she trusted was just backing out and can you imagine how she felt? Her mask isn't even fully in place when she walks away and you can see that anger and fear plainly on her face. FEELS!

it’s 5am, and i consider this a great time for me to make an introduction. anyway, hi, i’m pate. i really don’t have much to say, nor can i think of anything at this hour. i use a lot of fillers in my day-to-day speech, so ghghgh, whoops. anyway, i’m old. like, 20 whole years. wow. also, i use he/his pronouns. i’m in pst, but what are time zones? i have no idea. i don’t have any triggers too btw!
as for who i play? that would be neil polish, shsl nail artist. listen. lis ten. i have no excuses for the name. let me live. anyway, neil is more commonly known by his blog handle, ♥ neru-chan ♥, than anything else. ♥ neru-chan ♥ is a popular blog. key highlights being its daily posts/tutorials of nail art and nail care, an extremely long waiting list for custom commissions, its cutesy text patterns °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°, and most of all, the mysterious anonymity of whoever runs the blog. it should be noted that ♥ neru-chan ♥ focuses only on artificial nails.
so, if your oc was interested in fashion or nail art, they might have seen some of ♥ neru-chan ♥’s works featured in magazines and stuff?? ooor if your oc frequents social media or followed the blog to its more recent posts, then they would have found out that neil’s the one who ran it. pictures of him had been leaked onto the blog, and it sparked quite a bit of news online (i.e. bashing) due to the fact that he didn’t exactly suit the image of ♥ neru-chan ♥. as for specifics on all that news, i’m tired now. why did i think this was a good idea to write an intro at this time? idk how this works.
all i know is that there are, like, 10 hearts alone in this intro, and it makes me weep. if i made any mistakes, lemme know. i need to rest.

sorry for the long wait again! i can’t tell you how stressful everything has been lately. i’ll be back on here soon, working on replies when i can. i can do asks and small things, big paras are going to have to wait until i have a mind to do them.
