glasses? contacts?: Glasses 110% of the time.

last thing you ate?: A “sticky toffee pudding” scone from the little cafe in my town, mostly because @ninthcompanion and I were both curious about it XD

favorite color(s): Purple and teal

current obsession: ...honestly??? Being home at last from that long, long work trip. Oh my God, I’m so glad to be home and have a day off. It’s been three weeks. My brain is full of static and I have accepted that today, I will do Absolutely Nothing Useful.

favorite fictional character: Aside the obvious, yes? Lucius from FE7, Rodrigue from FE:3H.

17. What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

Building blocks, absolutely. Though an honorable mention to paper airplanes, as well as any scraps of canvas, gesso, and wood stretchers from his dad's canvases. Even when he was very young, Yuan liked to build things.

18. Is your character more likely to admire wisdom, or ambition in others?

This is a tricky one. Admire from afar, or want on his side?

He can admire ambition. Mithos and Lloyd and their ambitions of saving the world, for example. Ambitious people can see possibilities where the less ambitious see hard limits. The difference between Yuan aiming to save as many people as possible, and Lloyd aiming to save everyone.

It is very difficult for Yuan to vocalize "I love you." He's the actions-speak-louder-than-words type, though, and he has a lot of nonverbal ways of saying it. There's a whole vocabulary of shoulder pats, arm squeezes, and fondly exasperated sighs. If he really trusts you, he'll lean on you from time to time when things get rough.

And, of course, the fact that he's been known to choose impossible odds over letting something happen to his companions.

I’ve read everything. I read Yuan’s blog. I read Lucius’s blog. Lorazieh’s, Naesala’s, Lehran’s, Rutger’s, Impa’s. I read Esla’s blog. Esla, who hasn’t had a proper post since 2016. I found stories I forgot I’d ever written. I found old puns that made me laugh. I found old angst that made me cry.

It’s been two and a half years since I last felt able to write. But the spark has been rekindled. Not just for Yuan, but for writing.

sorry i haven’t gotten to the starters!!! the truth is school has been really busy, so i haven’t had much of a chance ot icon Gash yet!!! i hate feeling like i’m always using the same five icons over and over, so i’v ejust been holding off until i can icon movies 1 and 2 before really getting into things!
