Sunday, it was 91 degrees and sunny. Typical Pride weather. With COVID-19 still a concern in the community, Stonewall Columbus pivoted with Pride this year, as their parade went Virtual, and they held smaller events that were more spread out. Even the suburbs of Franklin County have stepped up by hosting Pride events to support the LGBTQ communities there.
Sunday, Rainbow UA, an LGBTQ support group in Upper Arlington held that city's first ever Pride Festival at Northwest Kiwanis Park (which is off of Henderson Road). There were speakers, and a LIVE DJ. Community organizations such as Columbus Community Pride, the Upper Arlington Public Library, SARNCO (Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio), Equitas Health, and Franklin County Public Health had booths set up at the Festival with information for the community.
