Sheâd been the quiet one - the one that hadnât really bothered to try and talk
to the newcomers. Although Deanna seemed to like them, had adopted them
like old friends, Selene wasnât so friendly. It wasnât that she didnât like them
or didnât want them there, it was that she always had been quite solitary
rather than social. She hadnât spoken to them, which wasnât their fault. She
only spoke to the old members of Alexandria when she had a useful input,
didnât bother with small talk, and as of yet she had no reason to speak with
Rick or the rest of his group.
Daryl was interesting, granted. He seemed quite alike to her. She hadnât
seen him talk to many of the residents there, and heâd always been alone
unless he was with or around Rick and his small family. He seemed to be a
hunter, like herself, with numerous signs. Sheâd spotted them through her
scope a few times, and heâd lead the pack with Rick. He guided them,Â
giving them direction often more than Rick did, even stopping to track... He
 was skilled.
When she was told sheâd be working with him she had little to no protest.
She was easy to get along with unless seriously ticked off. She had a small
feeling that itâd be mutual between herself and Daryl. Sheâd converse if he
wished, stay silent if he wished, work with him or alone - it didnât matter to
 her.
She slowed herself when she was halted beside Rick and Daryl, Deanna at
her side. A stiff smile spread across her face. As they were introduced to
one another, she nodded, locked eyes with him momentarily, then carefully
parted her lips to ready herself to speak...Â
â Have you got any particular way you wanna do this? â  She questioned
once they were heading towards the gates together. Her accent was
striking, unusual and unexpected to most. Her words were relatively well-
pronounced, teetering on the line between posh British and common.
