With psychics and DaVinci’s, it’d make sense for there to be telepaths/mind readers. Of course, it’s to a certain extent. I think it’d be interesting if telepaths tended to be mute, either by choice or physical/mental reasons, only speaking through their minds and powers.

The silent kid that just sorta floats through, you don’t even know why they’re here until all of a sudden, they answer a question that’s been bugging you for a while. You look around but there’s no one looking at you, nor anyone getting ready to speak to you again.

‘Shades’ are a rare Outcast Type, most commonly known for their ability to manipulate shadows, or Umbrakinesis. Which can include many different forms, for example. One can create shadowy tendrils, using shadow to create corporeal forms that can interact with objects and even people. One can “Shadow-walk”, a term for using shadows as a sort of portal, traveling through the absence of light to get from one point to another, or in plainer terms, limited Teleportation. One can also “Scry”, which means spying or peering through shadows, again also limited to a certain distance. They can also see in the dark.

Shades can often be discerned by physical signs; most of the time, a Shade’s fingertips will be entirely black, nail and all, like they dipped their fingers into an ink pot. The severity of such depends on how much they use their abilities and how much rest they get, for example, if a Shade were to shadow-walk more than one person, then (depending on their mastery), their entire hand could turn black. There have been old reports of one or two Shades that overworked themselves, and their entire arms turned into the inky side-effect of their abilities. Although after a while, with ample rest, these effects will return to only affecting the fingertips, most often bleeding into their natural skin tone around the first and second knuckles.
