Our traditions are slowly fading away. There is no doubt that we are living in a fast-paced world. We’re surrounded by people using all kinds of electronic equipment, oblivious to the outside world. With technology, the “in” thing and life moving faster, old-time traditions like wearing Cara Melayu are on the way out the door. Nowadays, you can see people, especially Malays, rarely seen wearing it on special occasions, even during Raya. It got replaced by Kurta, Suit and even T-Shirt and jeans.
