๐ดThe Amphitheatre of capua๐ด . โซLocated in Oudna an ancient Roman-Berber city located near Tunis, Tunisia. โซIt dates back to the reign of Hadrian (117 to 138), measures 113mx90m and seated about 16,000. โซIt is half dug into the hill and only the upper part of the building with the arcs is above ground. โซThe amphitheater has undergone digging and renovations since the start of excavations in 1993. โซOudna is one of the oldest Roman colonies in Africa, and was founded during the reign of Octavian Augustus. โซThe modern- day ruins of Roman Oudna is divide into two main sections. โซImmediately by the entrance stands a complex of buildings, some of which have been reconstructed, including Roman villas, private and public baths, cisterns,a theatre and the 2nd-century amphitheatre. โซThe second part, which includes the capitol, has been largely unexcavated and lies a few hundred yards away, adjoining a small village and the remains of the colonial buildings. . .
