NON-VERBAL STUFF || ACCEPTING
He'd never been good at handling other's emotions. For every instance of his platoon members crying, Krauser was left struggling to pick up the pieces. Comforting words could only go so far when they're constantly surrounded by death-- constantly worried that they could be next to die alongside their fallen comrades. Krauser had always been prepared to die, but most of these men had friends and family to return to; he could call himself lucky not to have to concern himself with these things...but he'd be lying.
"Crying isn't going to bring them back, you know."
Smoke escapes through his lips whilst nursing his cigarette, staring out into the night that enveloped their camp. He could hear Leon's sobbing from his own tent, and upon checking in he found the rookie practically inconsolable.
"You need to take their strength and make it your own, Leon. You're becoming strong enough to where you won't allow anyone else you know to die. I've...felt this powerless in the past but look at me now. You'll get through this."
Hopefully.
