Does Basil think he's doing a good thing, dragging Sunny out of the hell he wanted to be in, or does he think he's just selfishly bringing Sunny back because he wants him?

I have a feeling it's the latter, and this was alluded to in some old post, but whatever Idk im not rlly good at explaining stuff sorry ╥﹏╥

chapter 11 actually dives into this a lot :] a big theme of OTWF is “can you save someone who doesn’t desire to be saved?”

how basil feels is a little complicated. he wants to help sunny so much, but he’s not sure if he’s truly doing a good job. right now sunny’s being quite dismissive to basil. basil knows all he can really do is be as supportive as he can. stranger actually brings this up this upcoming chapter! basil’s not really doing it because he thinks its the morally correct thing to do, but rather because he and everyone thinks sunny deserves a chance and he wants sunny to know that he deserves one.

also update: i’ve edited 9 mins so far, i know it’s not much but im happy lol. i still got a lot of art to do (that im pretty excited to draw)

If you don't listen to mitski then what song in general do you thing captures like the dialect of sappy that they have, y'know?

Her song “I’m Your Man” suits them super well now. “Shame” also kinda fits but mainly the first song.

hello! yes, i hinted in one of my MVs that he can be unsure of his identity. overall, basil in my au doesn’t mind any pronouns being used but does still feel dissatisfied about their gender at times.

The second part of Chapter 10 actually focuses on this! But yeah, they’re both not doing too well. Arum’s getting awfully close to full takeover.
