Sevmione Summer! 2019 Day 18.
For Mersday I bring you another Ottermione tale and this one's a real treat! When an otter shows up in his quarters after the start of term feast, Severus' interest is piqued when the creature uses the piano to tell him her name. It is the beginning of a sorely needed friendship for our snarky Potions Master. This work is narrated by Severus himself which lends an intimate feel, and spans from when Potter first joins the school through the aftermath of the war. Canon compliant up to DH.
PS - The story is not a comedy, but I LOVE this picture and decided it suits quite well. Mi is quite proud of herself after f*cking with a certain Pink Pest.

Summary: Severus Snape is befriended by a small furry otter who seeks him out during the school years. Who is she and why did she choose him? How does she affect his life? A story of healing, friendship and longing. A short-ish tale in 10 not very long chapters (plus an epilogue), slow burn, mainly canon compliant minus DH's epilogue of course.
Spoiler below includes important information for those who appreciate warning tags. I consider this a light and enjoyable tale, but it does significantly touch on controversial themes.

|| In chapter four there's a scene at the Yule Ball where Hermione is being sexually assaulted by Krum (not graphic). Snape saves the day. Later when Sirius Black shows wholly inappropriate interest in Hermione, Severus steps in. There are scenes that refer to torture and violence, but all of it canon-compliant. The story describes a tender attachment that grows between Snape and Hermione, but it is NOT romantically bent until after the war is over and neither is at Hogwarts. ||
