All this time, he’s only been watching from the sidelines.

Always. Only watching. Gazing. Admiring. A perfect poker face. But if anyone fell against his chest, they’d find out that Miyuki Kazuya was helplessly in love with Sawamura Eijun.

Every time they touched, every time they shared eye contact on the diamond, they were moments Miyuki cherished. Even the times they bickered (more of one sided teasing), or the times Sawamura’s stubbornness rubbed off on Miyuki and they were an idiot battery.

But at least they were a battery.

Now, not even baseball tied them together.

Miyuki could only smile and congratulate the groom on his wedding. A pat on the shoulder, reminiscing the old days as the married couple reached his table.

32. It’s nice to do something out of character once in a while, especially if you’re here with me.

Tsukishima Kei was not fond of kids. It’s quite an issue, really, when he goes pick up his boyfriend. With said boyfriend being a nursery teacher.

Every time he visited the kids would go “It’s Kei!” and grab onto his legs demanding a ride on his shoulders. He could either compell (faster) or wait for Hinata to coax them into letting him go (much, much slower).

Today Tsukishima wasn’t carrying much, and he had a good day at work with no problems faced, meaning he was in a good mood. So he took turns picking up the kids and giving them their rides on his shoulder around the tiny space which was their playground.

There was a flash and he pivoted to find Hinata, camera in one hand, the other holding a child’s, smiling. He was beautiful.

“You look silly like that in your office attire!”

His smile must be contagious, that’s why Tsukishima was smiling too. “You still love me.”

“I do.”

10. Anywhere we go we’re home if we are there together

It was one of those nights. 

Exhausted after a long fight against a Robeast with leftover adrenaline rush. Vulnerable. Keith and Lance just happened to seek solace in the same room, Lance appearing later.

“Woah!” He’d been surprised to see a figure slouched in the corner of the room before realising it was Keith and tried to stumble his way out before Lance stopped him.

“It’s okay, Lance. Come in.”

Tentatively, Lance stepped into the room and sat himself next to Keith, shoulders touching because they were close enough for that.

“How’re you doing?”

Keith coughed out a laugh. “You’re horrible at starting this kind of conversation, Lance.”

“Oh, shut up.” They huddled a little closer, enjoying each other’s warmth.

“Just thinking,” Keith answered after a moment. Lance gave a little hum, not wanting to rush his friend, at the same time letting him know he’s listening. He and Keith were similar, even though they’d never admit it to each other, so he understood.

“What if, at the end of all this… There’s nowhere for us to return to?”

It was a very real question, one that occupied each and every one of their minds. One that haunted Lance every day, every night. So he squeezed Keith between him and the wall enough that the boy won’t be able to feel even an ounce of emptiness.

“Then we’ll make our own. Wherever we are, as long we’re together, that’s home. Isn’t that right?”

Along the years, the relationship between Oikawa and Iwaizumi have been described differently by… well, different people.

But Oikawa’s personal favourite was a description by their poetic coach during practice break.

“You two are like the moon and the stars.”

“Oh?” It was the first time he’d heard that. “Why?”

“Well, what’s the moon without the stars?”

Oikawa thought about it a lot since then. When he’s showering, when he’s on the way home, when he’s lying in bed staring at the ceiling with a volleyball in hand.

He was never one for literature. Iwaizumi was way better at that. So Oikawa called him up. “Hey, Iwa-chan? What’s the moon without the stars?”

“What’s with that? Literature homework?”

“Just answer me!”

“Hmm… Well, think about this way. What’s the stars without the moon?”

“But you can’t see the stars without the moon!”

“Exactly. Basically it means that they can’t be without each other. Inseparable.”

“Oh.” So the coach saw them as inseparable. Oikawa liked that thought.

over everything?? their fights are always so small and meaningless and often ends with miyuki manipulating eijun into his room and teasing him till they’re back to normal

miyuki actually. eijun doesn’t know the meaning of personal space.

they both like japanese food

they’ve tried a number of times in high school, but eijun kept making too much noise even before they can get their pants off, so they kept failing and failing until miyuki graduates college and eijun goes to stay over during the weekend...

miyuki......... there are, rarely, days when he’s in a really good mood and he decides to power bottom

first time not seeing each other on a school day after miyuki graduates from seidou?? eijun felt so em pty

miyuki does both. more recently, he’s started bringing eijun along on days when he may not make it home for dinner

they’re both organised with their things, but organisation in general would be miyuki hands down

Kuroo had asked Tsukishima to stay after the extra training with Bokuto and the rest, and he had.

That doesn’t explain why he’s pinned against the wall with Kuroo’s face only inches away, and they simply stare at each other.

It was all too much for Tsukishima, and he was tired, so he opens his mouth first.

“Um, Kuroo-san... If it’s nothing, I’d like to go now...”

“No!” Kuroo exclaims frantically, pressing his weight against Tsukishima. “It’s just... I wanted to confirm something.”

Tsukishima raises an eyebrow, as if saying then do it. So Kuroo does. He leans in, and Tsukishima realises too late what he’s doing, and their lips meet. Kuroo doesn’t attempt to move, not slipping his tongue in or even attempting to tilt his head. They just hold absolutely still.

Until, finally, Kuroo pulls back. Thank God. Tsukishima was still in shock.

“Wow, okay.” Kuroo clears his throat. “It’s clear now. I like you, Tsukki.”

They’d practically known each other since the moment they knew what was going on around them, so Iwaizumi really shouldn’t be surprised.

Iwaizumi had left the designing of their bedroom to Oikawa because he had begged, and he rarely did, but this was --

“The design based off the latest Alien Hunter Allen’s bedroom! Isn’t it simply amazing?! I’m a genius!”

Iwaizumi ripped a poster he was sure the cost was higher than the pay of his part time job and glared at Oikawa.

“I’m redesigning this whole darned room, and you’re paying every single cent. It’s final.”

Oikawa swallowed.
