quinn felt awkward and uncomfortable, to say the least. she was hovering on the peripherals of the party, sipping on a beer that she couldn't exactly say she was a fan of. unfortunately, her best friend was preoccupied and something about it was putting her in the worst mood. maybe it was just jealousy, wondering why she couldn't be the one people were asking to dance. the look on her face was probably warding people off, not that she knew that. as her best friend made her way back over, quinn tensed up, folding her free hand against her chest. "hey." she greeted stiltedly, avoiding her gaze.

face turned bright red, choking on the drink and desperately trying to recover herself. " n-nice to meet you. " pretending not to know them seemed the safest way to play this.

"these shots are bullshit. this whole bar is bullshit." finley was hardly drunk enough to be belligerent, but she was possibly trying to get the attention of the person beside her. sure, they were keeping things entirely under wraps, but they were easing to the end of the night and she wasn't interested in doing the back and forth until they whispered where they wanted her to meet them. "maybe i should just go home." especially if they weren't going to pay attention to her.
