Super Size Me
After watching the movie "Super Size Me" I got a whole new perspective on the food that I eat. On average, I would buy fast food once a week. After seeing what junk food does to people after a while, and how terrible it really is, I began to eat junk food maybe once a month or once every other month. I learned that eating junk food increases your dopamine and makes you feel good and energized while you are eating but soon after you are done your food, you feel tired and lazy and your mood comes down very fast. Because of the amount of junk food obesity rates are going up. I also learned that only seven items on the McDonald's entire menu does not contain sugar. Having said that, 1 in 3 children born will develop diabetes in their lifetime. Junk food is terrible and I strongly believe that everyone (especially the people living in North America) should watch this movie just so that they are aware of what they are eating, and maybe that will bring the health rates up, and the obesity rates down.
Serotonin and Dopamine
Serotonin regulates your mood, appetite, sleep, muscle contraction, memory, learning and is an anti depressant
Dopamine is a released chemical that sends signals of reward and pleasure. some teens will do very risky things to achieve this dopamine such as doing drugs, binge drinking, doing life threatening stunts... etc
