Pavel squinted in the hot and blinding light of the sun, his curls dripping salt water into his eyes, but it didnāt bother him. It would be ironic if it did. He thought with amusement, vaguely remembering that salt water irritated human eyes. He brought a hand up to shield his vision as he watched the girl. And that was exactly why, because she was a girl. Pirates were not rare, they were more common than sea grass. FemaleĀ pirates were rare; more than rare, he had never seen one, and he had what some merpeople may call an unhealthy interest in humans. He knew that pirates oft believed females to bring some form of curse aboard their ships, and yet here she was, and he was ultimately intrigued by her. And she was a pirate, her garb was more than telling, the layers all pieces of different uniforms from different land-countries, the sash to hold it all together. Ā Some he recognised, some he didnāt. His head tilted in curiosity.Ā
He hadnāt realised that while caught up in his kinetic thought process that the girl had obviously caught him, rather than outrightly stare she had started stealing glances as she worked on the pier.
