Back to the Fold? Jace and Emily
New York was not normally a spot she cared for or visited that often – really, the Central and Midwest was her stomping ground now that she was tied with her brothers, Emily was on something of a working vacation. A trip up North to Salem was where she was heading, taking on the occasional Hunt as she did so.
Choosing to head into the City itself, she knew she'd have to stop at the Institute. She'd been outside of the Clave and the Consul for a long time. She didn't live as a Shadowhunter. She didn't live as Nephilim since her family had been killed. Perhaps it would be best to avoid it, but she knew that they'd know she had been close, likely – and had not checked in. And that would be a slight and a taboo.
Better to draw attention for showing up instead of not doing so.
She meandered down the streets of Manhattan, en route, when the creature attacked. She fought and dispatched it easily enough, and had caught the figure watching.
“Blonde hair. Flashy. Young and silly. It's good to see you again, Jace Wayland,” she said as she turned to greet her fellow Nephilim and Shadowhunter, sheathing her Seraph blade.
